Recycling Acronym of the Day

OMG look at all the RAP!

Every industry has its acronyms, and the waste industry is no exception - in fact, it seems to be a real leader.  All those extra syllables are wasteful, you know.  Convey information quickly and get right to the point with a few of my favorites:

OMG - old magazines
RMP - Residential Mixed Paper
RAS - Recycled Asphalt Shingles
RAP - Recycled Asphalt Pavement
ONP - Old NewsPaper
BMW - Biodegradable Municipal Waste
WTE - Waste to Energy

GAF, itself an acronym that at one time stood for General Aniline and Films, is helping to lead the discussion in RAS, so I think that's the best acronym on the list.  Choose yours here!
